Every Great Product Starts With a Problem, Not a Screen

One thing I've noticed is that many new designers open Figma before they understand the problem.

I used to do the same.

Open a blank canvas.

Start creating screens.

Choose colors.

Add components.

Then ask,

"What am I actually building?"

Now, I do the opposite.

I spend more time asking questions than pushing pixels.

Who is the user?

What are they trying to accomplish?

What frustrates them today?

Why would they use this product?

When you understand the problem deeply, designing becomes easier.

You're no longer decorating.

You're solving.

And that's what product design is all about.

Every beautiful interface should begin with empathy.

Not inspiration.
